Order Description
Develop quick familiarity with the most commonly prescribed drugs used in the United States and technology easily available for patient and professional education. Students should select one drug from the “TOP DRUGS” list of most commonly prescribed drugs in the United States provided by the faculty member. Using the Brochure Template in Microsoft Word, students are to design an educational brochure for LAY PEOPLE (that is, PATIENTS from diverse backgrounds) on the selected drug. Content to be included: drug name (trade and generic), description of drug, drug class, and mechanism of action, indications, dosing parameters, contraindications/precautions, drug interactions, side effects, pregnancy/lactation implications, and how to take (patient instructions). The brochure MUST address the topic of health literacy and safe drug therapy for patients by incorporating principles of creating easy-to-understand educational materials.

Order Description
Research a health care organization or a network that spans several states within the U.S. (Example: United Healthcare, Vanguard, Banner Healthcare, etc.).
Harvard Business Review Online and Hoover’s Company Records, found in the GCU Library, are useful sources.
Assess the readiness of the health care organization or network in addressing the health care needs of citizens in the next decade, and include a strategic plan that addresses issues pertaining to network growth, nurse staffing, resource management, and patient satisfaction. Provide a comparison to the health care organization or network and the Singapore Airlines. Include any cultural issues that may influence the practices listed above.
