Globalization of Enterprises
The post has two asighnments
1: Industrial Location and Globalization of Enterprises.
TOPIC: Pick a TransNational Company (TNC) and research how their proprietary technology has changed over the years and how these changes have influenced the way they conduct business (e.g. internationalization, location choices, suppliers) and/or create value.
The following criteria is used to grade your business analysis:
Research Breadth and Depth (5 points): Good, reliable sources must be used for all data and facts presented. Excessive reliance on tertiary sources (i.e. reports prepared by others) will reduce the grade for this component. A non-exhaustive list of sources will be provided on Moodle. In general, government and NGO publications and resources will provide the best data, along with industry associations. Proper citations must be used throughout and must correspond to a complete reference list at the end of the document. Avoid footnotes.
Analysis and Interpretation (5 points): Analyze the data you collect. Avoid ‘data dumping’ which is presenting reams of facts and figures with limited explanation. It is FAR better to reference summary statistics, graphs and figures which are placed in the appendix, rather than trying to embed all the statistics in the text. Use the text to EXPLAIN the facts and figures and tell us what they mean.
Application of Theory (5 points): The project must make explicit reference to the course material. Questions are arranged by chapter, so it is obvious which material should be referenced. However, it may be useful to reference material from other chapters as well. Don’t try to incorporate too much, however, as this is only about 2,000 words. Use of frameworks and theory will be grader harder for accuracy and appropriateness than quantity.
Recommendations and/or Implications (3 points): There are no references for these. You must come up with your own interpretation of the research, guided by the appropriate theory/framework. These must be logical, concise, relevant, and realistic. They must be supported by (i.e. follow from) your research.
Overall quality of writing (2 points): Sentence structure, spelling, grammar, organization and clarity.
2: Israeli Palestinian Conflict: Describe the history and goals of the Oslo peace process, beginning with its roots in the outcome of the Six Day War and subsequent UN Security Council Resolutions, the Camp David peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, the In
