2:Operations Improvement Plan Development — Measurement Strategy
This paper will be utilized towards the development of an OIP for the Toyota Accelerator Crisis circa 2010.
Write a 2 page report that explains tools, techniques, and resources for collecting data about a process; explanation includes benefits and limitations of each. This should include An explanation of two quantitative and/or qualitative measures to be used as a measurement strategy and why they were selected for an OIP.
Justify the selection of specific tools for gathering data about the process; justification should identify assumptions made about the tools, data, and process when making the selection.
Describe, in detail, a data collection and evaluation plan for use with an OIP; description includes details on how the data collection and evaluation plan fits with a broader measurement strategy. This should include a brief description of how each measurement will define and quantify the outcomes of proposed improvements.
Analyze how a data collection plan informs or supports an OIP. This should include a discussion of how the measurement strategy will help one to determine if the results of the OIP are positive, help ensure that the process does not have an unanticipated negative impact elsewhere, and help one assess if further process change is needed.
