Parents who speak a language other than English in the home are often concerned about the influence of the second language on their child’s development of English. What suggestions can be made from research evidence to parents in such a situation to promote positive language development in their children? Assessment task 2: Lead in-class research group, report back to plenary, and post report
Task: In class Research project and presentation (Participation Weekly; leadership twice each semester) and report. You will be placed in a group of 5.Using your reading and the lecture, you will participate in the small group in class research on the week’s topic. Twice a semester you will lead and report on the group’s research. Once in weeks 2-6 and once again during weeks 7-11, you will post the research question and proposed strategy for the group, lead implementation of the strategy and discussion in class and then post 500 words online within 24 hours of class finishing, based upon your reading of the assigned texts and viewing of the lecture and related resources.(SO NOW YOU JUST DO THE WEEK8’S REPORT, raise at least one example relates to your discussion of global Englisgh. Provide some external reference for your example, such as video and online website. )
