Essay Question: Is bureaucracy more likely to protect us against disasters or to bring them about? You may analyse a case study to illustrate your argument. [You may define ‘disaster’ as administrative failure if you wish.] Please use a case study based in Australia as this course is based on Australian politics/Public Policy/Bureaucracy etc.

– It is important to form an opinion on whether or not bureaucracy protects Australians against disasters or brings them about.
