This essay is arguing in favor or against any policy proposal or law actually being considered or recently implemented in the United States. You are to choose both the topic, and perspective, which you argue. This paper must include a deeper exploration of the history and background on the policy.

Paper should be 1000-1500 words (excluding references). All papers should address and engage arguments of both perspectives (economics and CST). For instance, a paper arguing against a policy to mitigate inequality because it is a necessary result of a market economy would also need to address CST on the negative effects of income inequality within a society on the common good, justice and solidarity among people.
