1:Marketing Management” and “Operations and Supply Chain Management” headings listed below and provide your understanding, analysis, learning and insight of the case study.

Submit two reflective reports (one for “Marketing Management” and one for “Operations and Supply Chain Management”). Your analysis is not about summarizing the case study, but it is mainly about your personal insight, understanding and recommendation and must be an evidence of learning beyond the concept of each case study. As the learning point, you are expected to show the evidence of aligning your reflective report with learning outcomes of this module such as integration of Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Each reflective report carries 20% mark and you must select ONE case study from EACH heading. Please, note these case studies have already been discussed during seminars and you may use any outcome of the discussion to support your reflective report. You still need referring to the literature sources and substantiate your highlighted area of discussion, argument and insight underpinning theories from existing literature.

All works should be referenced correctly using the APA style.
Further guidance relating to the detail of the above will be provided in seminars and on Blackboard for this module.

Referencing your work

The APA method of referencing uses the author’s name and the date of the publication. In-text citations give brief details of the work you are referring to in your text. References are listed at the end of the text in alphabetical order by the author’s name. The general format of an electronic journal reference in the APA style is shown below:

Coutu, D. (2009). Why Teams Don’t Work. Harvard Business Review, 87(5), 98-105. Retrieved 29th April 2012 from EBSCO http://searchebscohost.com

Author/s name and initials are listed first, followed by year of publication in brackets. Then there is the title of article and the journal where the article appears, which is in italics. Then state the volume and issue number (in brackets) along with the pages where article can be located. Finally add the date the article was retrieved and then the name of the database, followed by the web address. Wherever possible use the homepage URL rather than the full and extended web address.

For further information on why it is important to reference accurately go to the Referencing and Plagiarism topic in Skills Plus available from the Library website:

You will find other useful help guides on Skills Plus to help you with the skills involved in writing your assessments and preparing for exams.

3: Neurological Disorders

Order Description

Neurological System
A 35-year-old male is admitted to a hospital following a minor car accident. He was driving home and fell asleep at the wheel. This is the third accident he has had in the past year. He also falls asleep regularly at work, at the dinner table, at church, and, in fact, anywhere. When he becomes excited or enraged, he suddenly becomes weak and falls. At night, he often has bizarre, terrifying dreams. During these dreams, he feels as if he were paralyzed.
Based on the scenario given above, answer the following questions:
• Describe how a nerve impulse is transmitted from one neuron to the next.
• Compare the structure and functions of the CNS and PNS.
• What is the probable diagnosis for this man’s condition?
• What parts of the person’s brain could have been affected?
• What sleep state do these symptoms resemble?
• How would an electroencephalogram (EEG) look like during the sleep condition of this patient?
What type of treatments (physical or chemical) would you prescribe for the patient?
