Global Engineering Strategy 

This individual assignment requires research. Based on a company’s manufacturing site of your choice (as per accompanying instructions) you are required to design a manufacturing strategy for it.

Required layout- Manufacturing Strategy Document (an executive summary), followed by the body of the assignment text based on the Terry Hill Model. The report structure should be exactly as below and follow the format of the marking scheme.

2:Petroleum Engineering & Oceanography

Propose a topic for a project and describe it in a few sentences on this page, as well as provide their major (and minor, if applicable) on this page. The topic should relate the student’s major to some aspect of oceanography.Provide at least 3 references with the proposed topic that demonstrate that the topic they have chosen can be researched and presented.

Introduction: the introduction serves to explain the context of the body of the paper to the reader by providing historical information or reasons for investigating the topic of the paper. The introduction also briefly explains the topic or purpose of the paper, and states the hypothesis or thesis of the paper.

Methods: Describe the method you used to investigate this topic and come to a conclusion. If you used methods of data analysis, you should also describe them here. If you created something (an animation, for example), the technique you used should be given here.

Results: What are the facts that you found? (Do not interpret the facts here—just describe them.)

Discussion: Interpret what you found during your research for this project. This is probably going to be the longest section.

Summary (or Conclusions): Briefly summarize the topic of the paper, the facts discovered, the essence of the interpretations, and the conclusions.

Reference List: The reference list should have at least five entries. Your textbook should be one of the references cited.

My Proposed topic is: For drilling, the focus might be on an environmental impact (one, not all of them) and how that impacts ocean functioning of some kind. Fooduction, the focus might be on getting the petroleum product to the shore/refinery, and the risks associated with doing this, and the impact on ocean functioning of some kind. For exploration, it might be how exploration affects the ocean environment. Etc. Alternately, the link to oceanography could be how the oceans preserve enough organic matter in their sediments to become a source for petroleum. What kind of ocean environment would it have been? How long would it need to persist to preserve enough organic matter to become, eventually, a source for oil or gas. Something like that.
