Simulation Experiences

The post is of two assignments

1:Balancing Project Objectives

Paper details:

An opportunity to enhance your simulation experiences in this class with additional information and advice from project management experts. Although the resources from the first part of this assignment are chosen for you, the second part allows you some flexibility to freely pursue your interests in project management in particular, and leadership in general.

Step 1: Read A Project Manager’s Guide to Making Successful Decisions, by Dennis Buede and Robert Powell, Chapter 1 “Decision-Making: The Key to Project Success”. (Attached in PDF format)

Step 2: Read through the different blog sites found at:

https://www.odesk.com/blog/2009/05/top-25-project-management-blogs/

Then, choose TWO blog entries to incorporate into your writing.

Step 3: Write a paper incorporating the reading from “Step 1” and your chosen blog entries from “Step 2” and discuss any “take away” points they may provide. Do these resources enhance your knowledge of project management in any way? Do you agree with all of their assertions?Discuss any connections you may find that can be draw. Also, if applicable, discuss any personal experiences that you may have that relate to the reading or blog entries.

Logistics:

write your paper using a 12 point font and double space. Papers should be around 3 pages long.

Aim to use your own words; however, when you quote or paraphrase, remember to briefly mention to which source you are referring.

2:Integrated Communications and Measures Plan-self driving car market

Paper details:

Refers from order 600309 & 605645,
Students will develop the Tactical Program. Additionally, students will develop a “measurement plan” that demonstrates how they would measure the efficacy of their recommended plan once it is implemented.

Tactics include “integrated communications” as well as all the other tactical “tools” (e.g. promotions, events).

Students will include specific tactics, not types of tactics. Here are some examples:

Rather than saying “television advertising” the specific tactic would be a specific daypart and specific programming.
Rather than saying “pay per click” the specific tactic would be a bid amount and keywords plan.
Rather than saying “publicity” the specific tactic would be what message was to be placed, the target media, the “pitch”, and how the message will be delivered (who, vehicle, etc.).

Students will provide for each specific tactic:

(1) Describe the tactic and explain how the tactic works
(2) Explain how the tactic fits into the integration of the overall tactical program, and what specific behavior it is meant to cause
(3) Provide rationale for the investment in that tactic
(4) Include the cost, and relevant information such a cost per thousand (cpm), bid amounts and strategy for AdWords, circulation and ad size for magazine, etc.

All of the items on the list, that are relevant to the business chosen as the subject of the plan, are to be considered. If there are appropriate marketing tactics for the chosen business’s marketing program, that are not on the list, they should also be included.

Types of tactics to consider:

-PPC
-AdWords
-Internet display advertising
-Broadcast advertising
-Print advertising
-Sales promotion
-Public relations (publicity)
-Events/experiences
-Direct marketing
-Engagement and word of mouth marketing
-Sales
-Sampling
-Promotions
