1:Instructional Strategies that Increase Student Achievement
The research found in Classroom Instruction That Works provides evidence from decades of research that nine broad teaching strategies have positive effects on student learning. A principal or superintendent should be familiar with these research-based strategies in order to increase student achievement. How would a district leader introduce these strategies into the instructional program? Pick two of these strategies and relate them to the instructional needs of a minimum of two content areas in your district? How would a leader design and implement a professional development program to enhance student performance?
