In Unit 1 you identified a health information/health informatics profession to describe or a person who works in health information/health informatics to interview. This could be a health care information technician, health information manager (HIM), health information analyst or health informatics director or manager.

2:Software Applications in Healthcare

Discussion 2

Talk about AHIMA and how it works and help in the healthcare industry. It is said that a personal health record saves some life’s and improve the health of many. AHIMA Chief Executive Officer Linda Kloss. There is a lot of applause to the federal government as they try to do everything they can you protect the healthcare records of all. Because HIPPA privacy was a creature of, HHS right now, HHS are the ones that have been enforcing all the rules.

So as they try to input the system CPR that will significantly increase the healthcare records this electronic record would go across geographical and political boundaries. This new system would be able to have recorded from birth to death on patients. The problems are whether this system can be trusted and will it violate the privacy act. Electronic media can break down barriers in healthcare delivery as well as in politics, provided they are used intelligently and to function.

Both my son and daughter work in the Healthcare field one for a few decades and the other for maybe one decade. They both handle healthcare records, and we have discussed HIPPA a lot. Also, my grandmother was an RN, so we have healthcare for our family generations. I am now in-home caregiver for my mother and assist caregiver of my twin brother

Electronic Health Records (EHR) are also widely known as Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and many people use the term interchangeably (Torret, 2011). The EHR this is an electronic version of patient health records that for decades were perversely stored on paper records, but now thanks to the EHR you can pull all the information up on the computer.

The use of AHIMA means a patient recorders came been seem individual or as a group. When appearing in a group, it would look as to help the populations with health problems like cancer in different cultures. The information will include symptoms, diagnoses, procedures, and outcomes. It has the history of any lab work and X-rays that the patient has had performed on them. In the larger group, it can look at any interventions that could help in the future.
