1. Three men were trying to make the football team as punters. The coach had each of them punt the ball 50 times and the distances were recorded (see Excel Spreadsheet Punters file on Moodle).
a) Compute the variance and standard deviation for each punter.
b) What do these statistics tell you about each punter?

2. In a Bon Appetit poll, 38% of people said that chocolate was their favorite flavor of ice cream. A sample of 20 people was asked to name their favorite flavor of ice cream. What is the probability that half or more of them prefer chocolate?

3. A report to the Toronto city council stated that there are on average 30 water line breaks per 100km per year in the city of Toronto. Outside of Toronto, the average number of breaks is 15 per 100km per year.
a) Find the probability that in a stretch of 100km in Toronto there are 35 or more breaks next year.
b) Find the probability that there are 12 or fewer breaks in a stretch of 100km outside of Toronto next year.

2:Histogram.

As part of a larger study, a long-distance company wanted to acquire information about the monthly bills of new subscribers in the first month after signing with the company. The company’s marketing manager conducted a survey of 200 new residential subscribers wherein the first month’s bills were recorded. The general manager planned to present his findings to senior executives.
The data is provided to you in an Excel worksheet on Moodle.Use MS Excel to do the following:
a) Construct a histogram.
b) Convert the histogram to list relative frequencies instead of frequencies.
c) Construct an ogive graph
d) Calculate the descriptive statistics (Mean, Mode, Lower, Upper, Range, Standard Deviation, Variance)

When talking about what went wrong we need to talk about stakeholder management. ( please find a journal or framework related to this.) . We also must use MASLOWs hierarchy of needs to explain what went wrong.
Also reference MITCHELLE 1997 about stakeholder characteristics ( power, legitimacy, urgency) for this question 1.
