post has three assignments
Discern the differences between scholarly journals, the popular press, and other sources of literature. Many articles in the popular press are informative and enlightening. However, authors contributing to the popular press do not need to adhere to the rigorous standards required of scholars. Scholarly journals are published by professional organizations, in order to report research and advances in any given field. Articles in scholarly journals are subject to peer-review (review by journal) , meaning that submissions are read and reviewed by experts in the field, both prior to and after they are accepted for publication.
The annotated bibliography is part of the research you will need to undertake for this unit. The learning goals of this assessment are to collect, reflect, summarise, critique and evaluate research (recent journal -5 to 10 years) which examines a current trend in your chosen discipline of HRM.
For this assessment, an annotated bibliography provides an explanation of the best available research on a given research topic. The annotation usually contains a brief summary of content and a short analysis or evaluation of the research article.
( *read more than 10, select more than 10 )
For this assessment, provide a list of ten (10) key journal articles related to the research topic. Follow this by a summary of the article, and then an evaluation (i.e. annotation) of the article with the goal of informing the reader as to the content, relevance and quality of the research (about 125 words for each article).
Your critique should include some basic information (not included in the word count):
FORMAT
1. Name(s) of the author(s)
2. Title of article
3. Title of journal, volume number, date, month and page numbers
4. Statement of the problem or issue discussed
5. The author’s purpose, approach or methods, hypothesis, and major conclusions.
The bulk of the critique (half page or 125 words), however, should consist of your qualified opinion of the article. Read the article you are to critique once to get an overview. Then read it again, critically. The following are some questions you may want to address in your critique no matter what type of article you are critiquing. (Use your discretion. These points don’t have to be discussed in this order, and some may not be pertinent to your particular article).
1. Is the title of the article appropriate and clear?
2. Is the abstract specific, representative of the article, and in the correct form?
3. Is the purpose of the article made clear in the introduction?
4. Do you find errors of fact and interpretation?
5. Is all of the discussion relevant?
6. Has the author cited the pertinent, and only the pertinent, literature that provides a balanced perspective?
7. Have any ideas been overemphasized or underemphasized?
8. Should some sections of the manuscript be expanded, condensed or omitted?
9. Are the author’s statements clear?
The following questions are more specific to empirical rather than conceptual articles.
1. Are the study design and methods appropriate for the purposes of the study?
2. Have the procedures been presented in enough detail to enable another researcher to duplicate the study?
3. Are the statistical methods appropriate and/or sufficient?
Format / How should I set it out?
Introduction – Set out the key elements of the topic so that you have them as a frame for the annotations. This is a good opportunity to briefly comment on the overall state of the literature on the topic. (Each need have 70 – 100 Words)
Each entry (Total need have 1250 words) ? (Each Summary {30-70 words} , Each Critique {50 – 90 words}
Article – set out correctly in the appropriate selected reference list format (APA or Chicago).
One to two paragraphs on the article (up to about 125 words on average) which briefly summarise, then analyse and evaluate that reference.
Next article ——– and so on (total 10 articles)
Literature Review ( Total need have 300 – 500 words )
Using the reflections on the 10 articles, develop a narrative to discuss the selected topic
(Final belief / true or not true)
Conclusion – Bringing it all together. This is a good opportunity to present your overall analysis on the literature you have reviewed. (Each need have 70 – 100 words)
Recommendations – (Critique) ( Each need have 70 – 100 words )
Culminate by highlighting the gaps identified and suggestions on addressing those gaps.

Eg. Not enough journals Eg. More journal to solve the issue
Table – Please provide a table (one page) which lists the authors, the topic, and major themes covered in the 10 articles (not included in the word count).

S/N Authors Topics Major Themes
Reference list ( no less than 10 references )
This list should include the references you have annotated in the correct reference list format. This list is not included in your word count (not included in the word count).

2:Hospice/palliative care nurse
Order Description
Develop the character of a hospice/palliative care nurse for a television movie. Include in your character development the following:
1)personal and professional characteristics of the nurse

5)describe a scene or situation in which the nurse would assume a leadership role.
3: DECISION ANALYSIS
Order Description
This paper outlines a way of thinking about decision-making called Decision Analysis, which is a useful way of structuring complex issues. What is Decision Analysis? How is it different from (similar to) BCA? What types of problems is it best used for? How is the decision-maker involved in the process (note that BCA never requires a specific decision-maker)? What are the issues with DA? Do you know of any problems that might be aided with a DA structure?
