DIRECTIONS for WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT: Below are two options for this first paper. Each option has two articles to read. These articles are attached to this assignment. These articles deal with a specific topic relative to life spans that we covered this first half of the semester.

1. Choose one (1) option and write a 4 full pages paper.

2. The paper will first summarize/discuss the content of the articles:
• what research was done
• observations made
• the outcomes
• and any recommendations from both articles on the topic.

3.This portion of the paper should be the first 2/3 of the paper.

4. The last 1/3 of the paper needs to present your personal thoughts on the topic and more specifically your thoughts on the articles. In this section, you should also address how this topic relates to what you have learned in class. No additional research is needed or necessary.

The paper will be graded on the following:

* use of proper grammar and APA format;
* how well the topic is covered by summarizing/discussing the articles;
* how well the course concepts are integrated;
and
* use of personal thoughts and/or observations.(Avoid slang sayings.)

Proper American Psychological Association (APA) citations in the body of the paper are mandatory. Additional information regarding the APA format will be provided during the class.

All papers must be handed in no later than the designated date on the syllabus for consideration of full points.

2:Conceptions of leadership as “person” and as “position” devalue the role of youth in society. Discuss with reference to one developing context.

Youth concerns have now come to the forefront of global attention. While in
developed societies youth see themselves as constituting a class whose interests
are being gradually marginalised, those in developing countries see themselves
as the neglected majority in an unjust social order.

3:Comparison/Contrast Essay

For the Comparison/Contrast Essay assignment in this unit, write a five paragraph essay with five to seven sentences in each paragraph comparing and contrasting two of the characters, excluding Cora and Alice, in our novel, The Last of the Mohicans. (You will get to compare the two sisters in Unit Four.)
