post has three assignments
1:DISCUSSION PROMPT RESPONSE
Responds to every aspect of the discussion prompt with originality
Displays a familiarity with the texts and topics being discussed
Exceeds three hundred words
Respond to BOTH of the following prompts:
1. The Langston Hughes poems we read this unit don’t use technical rhyme and meter, so why are they so rhythmically and tonally effective? (If you don’t think they are, explain why they don’t quite work for you.)
2. “Memorandum” not only ignores traditional constraints, it doesn’t really seem to take the form of what we think of as a poem at all. So why is this considered a poem? Do you think this takes the liberties of free verse too far?

Carefully reflect on your supervisor’s traits, behaviors, and leadership styles. Then write a 2-page paper addressing the following issues:
1. Overall, is your current role more of a leadership or a management role? How about your supervisor? Are they a manager or leader? Refer to the section on “Differences between Leadership and Management” in Chapter 10 of Hiriyappa (2010).
2. What key differences in leadership traits do you see between yourself and your supervisor? Refer to specific leadership traits discussed in the required textbook chapters.
3. What key differences in leadership behaviors do you see between yourself and your supervisor? Refer to the concepts of being task-oriented, or people-centered/relationship-oriented that are discussed in the required background materials.
4. How would you compare your own leadership style with that of your supervisor? Consider leadership styles discussed in the background text materials such as autocratic style, participative/democratic style, and laissez-faire/free-rein style.

3:Insurance Selection
Decide upon which insurance options you want to buy. Be sure to update your budget to reflect the insurance purchased. There will be no presentation associated with this activity.
From this point on in class we will have random events, some positive, some negative. If you have insurance that covers the negative item then you will not have to pay anything (or very little), if you do not have insurance you will have to pay the full cost of the negative event.
Paper should clearly indicate each of the eight insurance options and explain why you did or did not chose to purchase the insurance. Finally, provide a brief explanation about how the insurance selections have affected your budget selections. If your car insurance is higher than what is included here, use the car insurance premium you currently pay. Paper is worth 50 points and is due Monday, March 26th.
