Choose a social network platform that (1) interests you, (2) earns revenue and (3) has at least one privacy setting. This
assignment requires that you will need to locate the terms of service and/or analyze the privacy settings of a specific
platform.

1) Name the platform you chose and provide a one sentence description of the social media platform in your own
words.

2) Describe one aspect of the revenue model for this social media platform. In your own words, describe how the
social media platform generates revenue from the user experience.

3) Identify a specific privacy setting on the social media platform. Take a screen shot of the screen in the platform
which allows the user to set the privacy setting. A privacy setting is a feature that a user may turn on or off and
which prevents or enables certain information from being seen by some or all users. Please ensure that you choose
a privacy setting. Describe in your own words how the setting affects that user experience and what it prevents
or enables.

4) Explain how the privacy setting may influence the social media platform’s ability to earn revenue. In other words,
if a user changed the setting from private to public, what would the effect on the social media platform’s revenue
be? Specific dollar amounts are not required here, but make sure you describe the effect on revenue. Explain
why the impact to revenue occurs.

5) Suggest a modification to the privacy setting or a different privacy setting that would be financially beneficial to
the social media platform. Explain why it is beneficial.

Rating Scale (50 points maximum):

50 = Excellent result, issue accomplished with distinction.
45 = Good result; issue accomplished.
40 = Requires further elaboration or refinement.
35 = Some errors occurred in the analysis/answers.
30 = Significant deficiency in this aspect of the report.
25 or less = Questions not addressed or evidence not provided.
