Marketplace Simulation Report
In writing the report on the simulation, your focus should be on the process your team
used to arrive at the final results. Thus, you should discuss the decisions you made
before starting the simulation, major changes you made during the simulation, your
thoughts about your final results, and the main lessons you’ve learned from doing the
simulation. You should focus in part on why you think you achieved these results and
what you might have done to improve upon them.
The following format should provide a rough guideline (i.e., you may have an additional
topic area or two you want to mention) for your paper. Use headings as you see fit.
Use Microsoft Word, l2-point Arial font, one-inch margins all around, page numbers,
and double-spacing. For exhibits, at a minimum you should include the final cumulative
balanced scorecard and a profile of your final market presence. Size your exhibits
sensibly; don’t use them as “filler” but also don’t make them illegible. Penalty for going
over the page limit is five points per page.
Content
The report will cover all eight quarters. Describe the initial situation as you saw it and
your initial planned strategy. . Discuss your experience in choosing and implementing
your strategy (e. g., what you did to “fine-tune” it or replace it, Finally, discuss the main
lessons you learned in trying to apply the marketing concepts, strategies, etc. we covered
in class and/or in the text. Be as specific as possible regarding strategy and tactics.
