Bata is a shoe organization which came into being on 24th August 1894 in Zin. It’s a multinational organization. It includes various styles of footwear and fashion accessories manufacturers and retailers based in Switzerland. It was a family owned business which further kept on expanding and resulted in one of the best shoe stores. It formed in Pakistan as well by the name of ‘Bata Shoe Company Limited’ in 1951 and further became public Bata Pakistan Limited in 1979.

There are two types of factors that are involved in human resource planning organizations. Outside influences that can impact a business. Various external factors can impact the ability of a business or investment to achieve its strategic goals and objectives. These external factors might include competition; social, legal and technological changes, and the economic and political environment. Inner strengths and weaknesses that an organization exhibits. Internal factors can strongly affect how well a company meets its objectives, and they might be seen as strengths if they have a favorable impact on a business, but as weaknesses if they have a deleterious effect on the business. Internal Planning Factors and External planning factors. The internal factors that would be used in associating with Bata are, Organizational needs example demand for products and services, new products and services, new markets, technological change, location of production; skills requirement; workforce profiles (age, gender, ethnicity, ability) The external factors associated with Bata are supply of labour; labour costs; workforce skills; government policy; labour market competition; changing nature of work; employee expectations; demand for products and services. These factors surely affect the direction Bata is moving in. the factors affecting in relocating the business are cost, environment, tradition, customers, suppliers, competition, legalization, infrastructure, available workforce, external economies of scale, raw material, transport and communication, climate and power. The changes would be done by keeping in mind these factors. When Bata will think about relocating the business, it would surely make the decision according to these internal and external factors.
Human resource management is the employment, training and development of an organization’s workforce so that it is effective and efficient. Human Resource Management is important for Bata because it must be carefully managed if they are to be used effectively and contribute fully to the business. Modern human resource management tries to build and maintain good relationships between employees and employers. If there is a good relationship between the employees and employers of Bata, they will work together in an atmosphere of trust and support enabling each other to achieve their own goals. If good relations are built and maintained in Bata, it would involve encouraging employees’ involvement in the business so that employees feel committed and devoted towards their work and it would be valued by them. If employees are selected and trained carefully with full consideration, they would feel their importance and will be motivated. Also, integrating policies ok personnel matters with policies in areas such as production, marketing and sales. One of the main purposes of HRM is to make sure that the business has employees with the right mix of skills which means effective HRM will ensure the business has enough employees with the appropriate skills to carry out all of its functions. This is done by multiple techniques such as determining the human resource needs of the organization and recruiting and selecting employees with the right skills, experience and aptitudes. Also, human resource management helps in Workforce Planning which is establishing the workforce needed by the business for the foreseeable future in terms of the numbers and skills of the employees required. Recruitment, it is the process from identifying that the business needs to employ someone up to the point at which applications have arrived at the business. Pay, it’s the money received when work is done. Welfare, Conditions of work, Organizing Work and Disciplinary and grievance procedures. Motivation, it is the reason why employees want to work hard and work effectively for the business. Training, it is done to introduce a new process or a new equipment, it improves the efficiency of the workforce, provide training for the unskilled workers to make them more valuable to the company, it decreases supervisions needed, it improves the opportunity for internal promotions and decreases the chance of accidents. There are three types of training, Induction Training, it is the introduction given to new employees explaining the forms activities customs and procedures and introducing them to their fellow workers. On the job training, it occurs by watching a more experienced worker doing the job. Off the job training, it involves being trained from away from the workplace, usually by a specialist trainer.
All businesses need people as employees. Without employees to operate machinery and equipment, carry out administrative tasks, and market the product, no business would be able to produce goods and services and sell them to customers. Employees are therefore vital to the success of a business and the more efficient and productive its employees are, the more successful a business will be. Employees are most important source that a business need.
