Personal reflection
History of design in communication
Introduction
Personal reflection reinforces the learning process. However, some reflections can be momentary. If they are, they are soon forgotten. If reflections are written, however, they are more likely to be remembered because the act of writing reinforces them.
Think about it. A friend tells you her telephone number. You will most likely have forgotten it within minutes. The same friend tells you the number and shows it to you on her cell phone. Now you have two reinforcements: hearing the number and seeing it. With this scenario there is a greater chance that you will remember the telephone number. If, however, you go one step further and write the number down yourself there is an even greater chance that you will remember it. This is the underpinning premise of the blogs.
