To Access Microsoft Azure
The Microsoft Imagine program is now Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching. To access, please go to aka.ms/devtoolsforteaching and sign in using your username. It may ask you to create a Microsoft Account if you do not have one already.
You may have to enter your University of Arizona Email account to verify your academic status, and respond to an email sent to it.
You can then log into MS Azure, go to Software and search or view all, I recommend searching for “Visio”. MS Visio 2016 and 2019 are available as downloads, I recommend 2019. Be sure to click on the “View Key” button on the Right-hand side and see your key. Copy and paste it into a word processing file and save to your downloads with a good name (like “Visio Key.doc”) so you can find it again.
Once it is downloaded you can right click on the file and select “Mount”, then you will have a new drive letter, and you can open it and click on setup (it may open as soon as you mount it). If you get an error saying you are installing a 32 bit version but have a 64 bit version of MS Office installed, click on the “Install 64 bit version” button.
You will probably have to close your other MS Office applications to complete the installation of Visio.
Once the installation is completed you can launch it from your applications, simplest way is probably to type Visio into Cortana. It will immediately ask for your product key, copy and paste it from the file you saved it in, and then activate it.
Accept the fine print and you are on your way!
Happy Graphing!
