customer, client, or project selection board. Identify four to five criteria
this person or group would use to select which project to proceed with. Using
the selection criteria, select one of the individual projects for your team to
use for the rest of this course.

from among your Learning Team members’ Preliminary Project Charters and
Preliminary Project Plans. Make sure the project you select is one that all of
the team members can understand and have the ability to develop a comprehensive
project plan and implementation plan.
Write a 1,400- to 2,100-word paper
composed of the following sections:

Selection Criterion: Describe the selected project and the criteria used in the
selection process.
Final
Project Charter: Provide
a final project charter for the selected project as defined in the
Preliminary Project Charter Worksheet Week One Assignment.
Preliminary
Project Plan:
Provide the preliminary project plan for the selected project.
Note: the team will finalize the preliminary project plan in week

project plan by reviewing and revising the preliminary project plan for the
Learning Team’s selected project. Use the requirements defined for the
Preliminary Project Plan Assignment in Week 2.
Summarizethe
milestones and tasks that must be accomplished to achieve the project goals.
Include a discussion of the critical path.
UseMicrosoft®Project
to develop a high-level work breakdown structure detailing tasks, dependencies,
resources, and the critical path.
Includethe
Microsoft®Project Gantt chart, the network
diagram, and a resource list as an attachment to the project plan. Also,
include a copy of the budget, which may be done in either Microsoft®Excel
or Microsoft®Project.
Formatthe narrative
portion of your project plan in a word document and support the paper using a
standard project management application, such as Microsoft®Project (preferred).

Week 4
Project
Implementation Plan: Part 2 (Project Communications Plan, Risk Analysis) for
the Team Project
Resources: Project charter selected by Learning Teams in Week 2, and final
project management plan completed by the Learning Team in Week 3, and A
Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge
Write a 1,050- to 1,750-word project
implementation plan for the organization using the project charter selected by
the Learning Team in Week 2, which will also be used for the final project due
in Week 5. The project implementation plan must include the following sections:
Project
Communications Plan: Project communications plans are defined in section 10.2,
titled Plan Communications, in A Guide to the Project Management
Body of Knowledge.
Risk
Analysis:Risk
analysis is defined in section 11.3, titled Plan Risk Management, in A
Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge.
Format your paper
consistent with APA guidelines. Tables may be used to format and organize the
implementation plan. They can be included within the plan rather than at the
end as normally required by APA guidelines.

Week 5
Resources: Project charter selected in Week 2, final project management plan
developed in Week 3 and Project Implementation Plan Parts 1 and 2 completed in
Weeks 3 and 4, and A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge
Develop a 30-minute
presentation for final senior management review.
Include the following
four main sections in your presentation:
Section
One – Project
Scope and Benefits: Describe the scope of the projects, its objectives,
and the specific measurable impact it will have on the business or
organizational results. This section is an overview of the project that
briefly reviews the project management plan including the schedule and
budget.
Section
Two – Project
Implementation Plan: Include the final project implementation plan, which
must include a human resource plan, procurement plan, quality assurance
plan, communications plan, and risk analysis that includes how you might
mitigate the identified risks.
Section
Three – Project
Closure Process: Include the recommended project closure process as
defined in section 4.6, titled Close Project or Phase, in A Guide to
the Project Management Body of Knowledge. Remember to consider how
you will do recognitions and rewards and how the team will identify its
learning for future projects.
Section
Four – The
Sales Pitch: Provide a sales pitch to sell the project to the customer,
project committee, or project council. It should clearly define the
project focus, identify its benefits, and detail the impact it will make
on the business. Remember to focus on what senior leaders would value as a
stakeholder.
Submit your
presentation using any standard presentation software such as MS PowerPoint and
project management applications, such as Microsoft® Project,
Open Workbench, or Zoho Projects. Use graphics and visual display where
appropriate. The software you select must be viewable by all team members and
the instructor without downloading any software.
