2: Incivility in the Work Place
Order Description
Case Study: A surgeon and a scrub nurse get into an argument during an operation. The surgeon tells the scrub nurse that she is stupid and incompetent and he refuses to have her scrub with him again. The scrub nurse says that the doctor is an idiot and is totally incompetent. She threatens that if he doesn’t apologize, she is going to sue the hospital for lack of protection from this harassment. The argument escalates into a shouting match in the OR suite while a surgery is taking place.
