1:Explain the federal policies on School Choice in the United States and its association to No Child Left Behind (NCLB).
Define: Private School Choice; Public School Choice, Charter Schools, and Online Learning. Describe what each might look like. Provide a real example of each with a link to the school.
Should a person be allowed to use their education tax money to send their child to a school of their choice? What if that school is a religious school? What about the separation of church and state? If taxes are used for tuition for religious schools, isn’t that violating the 1st Amendment?
Use the interactive map at https://www.heritage.org/applications/schoolchoice to find which states currently offer vouchers, scholarships or education tax credits for children to attend private school of their choice? How could vouchers hurt the public school system? How could vouchers lead to a division of socioeconomic classes? Think about the differences in regulations that private schools must comply with compared to public schools or the unavailability of busing to private schools for working class parents.
Should all children be forced to attend public school or simply to be schooled? Is public school a right or a privilege? Is private school a right or a privilege? Reflect on School Choice. Discuss its pros and cons and your personal opinions about it.
Remember to always write an introductory paragraph and a concluding paragraph. Include a reference page and for the entire paper, use APA 6th edition for formatting, style, and proper in-text citations. Cite the course textbook, readings, videos and additional references when appropriate.

Design 1:

College sophomores were given a short course in speed reading. Three groups had courses lasting for 5, 15, or 25 sessions. At the conclusion of the course, participants were asked to read a paragraph, followed by a test of comprehension. Before taking the test, participants in each group were offered a monetary incentive-no money, $1, or $10 for a certain level of performance. The researcher collected the reading time and number of correct items on the comprehension test for each participant.
