write a short (900 word) critical review of a research article from the Journal of Linguistic Anthropology, demonstrating your understanding of anthropological theory and the ability to critically evaluate research. The review should succinctly describe the research documented in the article and provide a critical response to it. In writing your critical review, you should discuss:
how the article deals with the concepts and themes relevant to the links between language and culture
the benefits and limitations of the methodology that has been used
the relevance of the research to the wider theoretical concerns of linguistic anthropology
