basic on the presentation you should write up the points made in the presentation/discussion in a 1500 word piece of reflective writing. This is not a formal essay, but in it you should engage in a process of reflection. You should:

evaluate your arguments/examples and the critical response they received from your peers;
evaluate the quality of discussion and consider how this could be improved further;
explore how you will develop and apply your thinking on this topic further.
Examples of strong reflective writing can be found on Moodle, and should be consulted as you work on your own. This element should be submitted at the end the Spring term (12midday 31 Mar 2017), via Moodle, and is – again – worth one third of the module mark.

2: Designing and Managing the Supply Chain

Order Description

1. Discuss the need for multi-modal transportation improvements upon the current Asia-America-Europe land bridge and the new expansion of the Panama Canal. What effect can these improvements have upon both the national and global economy?

2. Describe in detail several methods for the supply chain to support sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

3. Aggregate planning is the process by which a company determines levels of capacity, production, outsourcing/subcontracting, inventory, and pricing over a specified time period to maximize overall profit. Describe how the S&OP process supports or challenges the aggregate planning process and push-pull strategies.

4. Describe how Maple Excellence Furniture Company’s quality integration initiative will affect each supplier, operation, sales operation, and customer.

5. Choose five best practices presented that you feel will have the greatest impact upon an organization and explain your reasoning. How do these best practices incorporate the Saint Leo core value of integrity?
