The post has three assignments

1: Locate an exercise program for analysis

Order Description

1. Locate an exercise program for analysis – Not a NASM program. Something someone has labeled as being the best program ever!
For example: a video series, a personal program you developed before you enrolled in this course, a military program for conditioning, a Les Mills body pump workout, a Cross Fit workout, a Body Building Magazine Program (we have access to Muscle and Fitness Magazine in our library), a Yoga program, a walking program… anything that is designed to “get you in the best shape of your life”.
You cannot review the same program as anyone else in the course. Choose your program early.
2. What (if any) are the program’s
Stated goals
Cardiorespiratory training protocols including acute variables.
SMR and Flexibility protocols including acute variables.
Core and Balance protocols including acute variables.
Reactive protocols including acute variables.
Speed, Agility, and Quickness (SAQ) protocols including acute variables.
Do they offer/suggest Parameters?
Do they offer/suggest Progressions?

3. Do the suggested variables, protocols, parameters, and/or progressions match the ACMS’s guidelines for training? ( See Attached document: Quantity and Quality of Exercise for Developing and Maintaining Cardiorespiratory, Musculoskeletal, and Neuromotor Fitness in Apparently Healthy Adults: Guidance for Prescribing Exercise. PDF Table 2 p. 1336-1337) The ACSM is the “bible” of acute variables of training.

2: Men and women in relationship

Order Description

Assignment 3
As in the previous assignments, write a well-developed essay on ONE of the following topics. The essay should be a minimum of three pages. Choose TWO of the four films of the unit (Devil’s Advocate, Mildred Pierce, Citizen Kane, Maid in Manhattan) (you can choose more if you wish, but be careful of losing depth and focus). Refer to at least SEVEN course documents (notes and films do not count as course documents(, include a Works Cited list at the end of your essay.

Men and Women in Relationships. Relationships are very important to men and women, yet having a good relationship is difficult for both. For many the greatest source of unhappiness in their lives is their relationship with the opposite sex. Why are relationships so difficult. What do the films and documents point to as the main conflicts between men and women, what is the effect on their happiness, and based on those moments of shared happiness we see the films, what is the path to happiness in their relationships. How does it involve the American Dream?

Paper Requirements:
Must be a minimum of at least 3 pages.
Must refer to at least seven Course Documents, both internally and at the end in a Works Cited section. The Course Documents for this unit are in Sections A, B, and C (Notes and films do not count as Course Documents)
Must have a clear thesis statement, and the usual paper contents of an Introduction, Development, and Conclusion. Watch grammar and word choice.
Must follow MLA style (double space, 12 font, sources indicated within and end of text).

3: Thomas Aquinas- Summa Theologica

Order Description

Essay Question
It is near the start of 1270, and you are taking a degree in theology at the University of Paris; one of your professors is Thomas Aquinas who is already five years into writing his Summa Theologica. Though nearly always busy, the Angelic Doctor, as he is affectionately called, is sitting along the Left Bank of the Seine River, looking toward the foundations of Notre Dame, nearly a century old and two more centuries away till its completion in 1345. You have his attention and will analyze his recent writings about the soul and the nature of the soul and how much Aristotle contributed to his view. As a sympathetic but contrarian student of theology, summarize his position on the soul, identify the core issue, give your own thesis and defense, and relate any of Aquinas’s objections and your replies to the theologian.

Read through the Rubric carefully, and follow all the elements listed.

Step 1: Summary – Give a synopsis of the opposing positions, being careful to avoid editorializing or indicating a personal opinion.

Step 2: Identifying the Core Issue – Cut through the details and succinctly state the central issue of the discussion as a “yes” or “no” question.

Step 3: Thesis & Defense – Decide your position (“yes” or “no”) and then defend it with compelling arguments.

Step 4: Objections & Responses – Raise some reasonable objections to the arguments presented in Thesis and answer them.

Compose the essay in grammatically correct manner, with correct spelling and mechanics. Essays must include a separate Works Cited page. Use APA style. Use text references and three scholarly articles to support and illustrate points made.
