1. Review recent academic literature relating to stakeholder theory and its application to the engagement with and management of stakeholders in large projects and programmes. This should end with a summary of the main points you have found. This is worth 30% of the paper.
2) Review the stakeholder management performance of your chosen large project/programme by applying the findings from your literature review. Your consideration should include (but not limited to) the following:-
a. The successful (or otherwise) communication of ‘vision’
b. A table mapping/classifying the stakeholders in the project (for the avoidance of doubt this table will NOT be included in the Word Count)
c. Different (or otherwise) levels of success in managing internal and external stakeholders
d. The degree to which stakeholder issues increased project/programme complexity and the effect of this on the wider project performance to date (for instance, any published estimation of effects on schedule and cost)
This is worth 40% of the paper.
3) Draw conclusions from your analysis regarding the chosen project/programme performance in managing its stakeholders noting in particular the extent to which your conclusions show agreement or disagreement with the findings from your literature review
This part is worth 20%
4) Finally the Presentation – although this is not a professional report, you should aim at a professional standard of presentation. There is no need for an abstract or executive summary but there should be an index. You should also pay close attention to the structure of your paper and the indication of that given by headings and sub-headings. You should also pay attention to the layout of your paper, division of the text into paragraphs of appropriate length, labeling of tables and graphs. Text should be single-spaced and you should avoid the use of scanned images.
5) Referencing- I will read and go over everything you have written ANYTHING you take from an article or whatever source you are taking it from, reference it in text and at the end of the paper. This is really important I need to go back and check where you got your facts from.
