Post has three assignments
1:The scapulothoracic muscles
When training the shoulder complex for optimum function and performance, in addition to the muscles of the rotator cuff, much focus is given to the integrated function of the scapulothoracic muscles as they play an integral role in dynamic stabilization and neuromuscular control of the shoulder during functional movements.
In light of this, from your experiences, assigned reading, and your interpretation of the best available evidence, please address the following in your response:
Discuss the role of the Serratus Anterior and Lower Trapezius in normal scapulohumeral rhythm
Discuss what you may observe from a movement and postural perspective with an underactive Serratus Anterior and/ or Lower Trapezius
Discuss some common impairments that may be a resultant of an underactive Serratus Anterior and/ or Lower Trapezius
Lastly, discuss exercises you would include for an underactive Serratus Anterior and Lower Trapezius as part of a corrective program to recondition the shoulder complex
Please be clear, concise and specific with your responses. To be eligible for full-credit, your primary post and replies must be supported with peer-reviewed articles/ evidence beyond the NASM CES textbook. Additional references are available through the Manderino Library. Please review the discussion submission and citation guidelines and deadlines prior to posting.
2: Granny Flat Law
Order Description
In January, 2017, Senate Bill No.1069, “Granny Flat Law” became law in the State of California. At a minimum:
a. State your understanding of the law (What is it, what does it allow, what does it not allow or prohibit or what does it change)?
b. What is the purpose of the law or what is the need or “perceived” need for the law?
c. Who are the stakeholders (who are affected and how are they affected) of the new law?
d. Analyze the law using the Strategic Triangle technique.
1- Is it substantively valuable that it will (or has) made or delivered things or services or qualitatively improved lives of constituents in an effective and efficient manner?
2- Is it legitimate (legally mandated) and politically sustainable?
3- Is it operationally and administratively feasible? In other words, will the policy work, as envisioned?
Make sure that all the elements of the Strategic Triangle are used in your analysis. Very important
e. Your personal impressions of the law and how or, prospectively, you may be affected.
Guidelines:
Five (5) pages, double-spaced, with at least 1” margin on the right. Tow sources at least. *The quiz is due after 2 days from now! The Professor will set a Turn it in (Plagiarism check). Please read about the new law before you start, and you can use this web as a source:
