post has three assignments
1: Modern Segregation in St. Louis
Order Description
The final research paper will be made accordingly to the following directions: For the final paper, focus your attention upon single East St. Louis site as it relates to the larger racial and spatial geography of the city, and especially to the issues of segregation and violence that we have been exploring. Develop your own reading of the site, focusing on noteworthy elements (physical, spatial, interpretative, contextual etc.) as well as the broader historical, economic and political realities––those we heard from Anne Walker and/or that we read about in Lumpkins, Wilkerson, Wright, Loewen, and the primary documents related to the massacre of 1917).
2: Corona virus

The organism’s appearance
How it is spread, life cycle
Issues that it causes- symptoms,
Statistics, where it is found most, how widespread, for example
How it is diagnosed and how it can be treated
A specific case study (track one patient’s experience)
Other interesting pieces of information that you would like to report

3: Art Design Visual Analysis
Order Description
Description:
Include artist, title of work, country of artist’s origin, subject matter (content), date of creation.
Do not include any background or history of artist. This needs to be only one paragraph.
Include a description of how the elements of art are used in the work. Line, Shape, Color, Texture, Value, Space, Time, Form. You do not need to list all of them, but explain the elements you do chose thoroughly. Back them up with detailed description. This might take up several paragraphs.
Example Sentence: All of the blue color are hard edged regular shapes, while the organic shapes have a violet tint.
Analysis:
In this section include a description of the principles of art. Balance, emphasis, unity, variety etc. Again, you do not need to list each principle. Mention the most apparent principles. This might take up several paragraphs.
Example Sentence: The emphasis in the painting is the bright red apple placed exactly in the center of the canvas.
Interpretation:
In this section explain the expressive qualities of the work. What is the artist trying to say? This is not your opinion. What is the mood? Is there symbolism? Metaphors, Message, and Meaning?
This might take up several paragraphs.
Example Sentence: The painting is dreamlike because the artist used soft and misty colors throughout the background.
Judgement:
Objective discussion about the overall merit of the work of art supported with evidence found in the work of art.
also
Subjective discussion (personal opinion) about personal preference or appeal of the artwork supported with evidence found in the work of art.
