post contains two assignments

FORMATTING FOR PAPER:
Step 1: Introduction to the Paper
Provide an introduction to the paper and what you will be discussing. Why did you
choose this specific child or a child with this disability to research? Did you learn
about the child from observations in a classroom, films, case studies, books, or other
sources?
Step 2. THE CHILD AND HIS/HER DISABILITY TO BE CONSIDERED
Begin by describing the whole child. Provide the reader with a “picture” of the child,
along with the grade level and setting in which s/he is currently placed. Discuss the
child’s current level of functioning – including the child’s strengths, interests, and
challenges. Include these components:
A. Questions to Answer in Narrative form:
• Who is this child? (Be sure to include answers such as: How old is the child?
• What is his developmental age? What language does/ he / she speak? Who is
• his/her family? Other descriptions that tell us about this child’s
• development).
• What does he/she need to know?
• What are the child’s interests?
• How does this child learn?
B. Fill out pages 1-4 of the IEP form
Step 3. How does the disability, concern, behavior, or difference affect the child’s development
1. Describe how the disability, concern, behavior, or difference might specifically affect progress in three areas of early childhood human development (motor, sensory, communication, social, behavioral, cognitive). How does his her development compare to “typical developmental patterns and milestones.” You may refer to your observations on the child and the research you have done.

2. What are the needs and accommodations that the child might need in the classroom?

3. What might be some possible behaviors or problems that the child might encounter in the future? This can be based off your research and observations.

Step 4. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT FOR CHILD
A . Provide an introduction to your curriculum plan
Looking at how your activities take into account the needs of the child as well as his/her interests and your long term goals for the child. Basically explain what you hope to accomplish for and the child with these activities.
B. Develop actual curriculum activities for the child.
Using the curriculum guide form attached to this assignment, develop one activitiy in each of the following areas:
1. Social awareness (self esteem, inclusion and social studies)
2. Language and literacy (speaking, listening, reading, writing)
3. Health, physical education, and sensory motor skills
4. Discovery (math, science and technology)
5. Creative Arts (visual arts, music, creative movement and dramatic play)
Step 5. CONCLUSION AND BIBIOGRAPHY
Write a conclusion to the paper that states what you have told us in the paper and why it is important. Discuss: How will child be fully included in all the classroom activities? If not possible, why? What will you do to lessen stigma of difference on child? Draw a more universal “conclusion” about children with similar disabilities and the ability for them to be in an inclusionary classroom. Write a bibliography that cites your sources for doing this assignment.
F. Bibliography (use MLA or APA formatting, see next page)

2: Groups in Nursing

Order Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BEGINNING:
The dynamic and increasingly complex world of health care often requires nurses to work collaboratively on interprofessional teams. In the group environment, individuals with unique skills and expertise come together to focus on a common goal; however, groups must become cohesive before they can become effective.

Experiences working with groups—whether you perceive them as positive, negative, or neutral—can be used to facilitate insight and development. Health care, with its focus on interprofessional teamwork and collaboration, offers ample opportunities and an imperative for continuous learning

•Review the information in this week’s Learning Resources regarding the stages of group formation, problematic roles individuals play in groups, and strategies for facilitating and •Reflect on various groups with which you have been or are currently involved. Select one specific group to analyze for the purposes of this Discussion. Identify the purpose or task that the group is or was meant to perform.
•Consider the four stages of group formation (forming, storming, norming, and performing). How would you describe the progression between stages? Is there a stage in which you believe your group is or was “stuck”?
•Consider the task or group-building role you normally play in a group setting. How could you apply the information from the Learning Resources to improve your group participation and facilitation, as well as the functioning of the group as a whole?
•In addition, think about which individuals within your group (including yourself) may fall into problematic roles such as the Dominator, the Aggressor, or the Blocker. How have you and your group members addressed the enactment of these roles and its impact on interactions? With information from the Learning Resources in mind, what strategies would you apply now or going forward?
maintaining positive group collaboration.

DIRECTIONS:
WRITE a description of a NURSING group (GROUP I CHOSEN WAS A COMMITTEE I AM IN. ITS CALLED STAFFING METHODOLOGY. GOOGLE THIS TERM PAIRED UP WITH NURSING. OR TRY SHARED GOVERNANCE ITS ANOTHER COMMITTEE I AM ON. IF ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL ANYTIME.) with which you have been or are currently involved. Assess where the group is in terms of the four stages of group formation. If you are reflecting on a past experience, explain if your group moved through all four stages. Describe the task or group-building role you typically play, or played, in this group. Then, explain what strategies you, as a leader, can apply to better facilitate the group process and address any problematic individual roles in the group.
