Assignment on SOCIAL MEDIA AND TEENAGE BULLYINGMethodFor the purpose of research to prove an increase in bullying cases with the rise ofsocial media will use the methods as follows. A number of online statistical sources will beused to collect the statistics on bullying cases reported during the past 3 years and the numberof cyber bullying cases reported in relation to social media. Apart from it a semi-structuredinterview of 25 adults to know their views about social media and its effects on bullying willalso be included.ParticipantsA group of 25 adults will participate in the research. The group will be selectedrandomly and the participants will all be social media users. The participants will be askedfor their consent prior to their participation in the interview.MaterialsA survey will be sent to the participants and used to obtain the data for research. Thesurvey will consist of 15 questions and two discussion questions. Apart from it the onlinesources providing statistical data and information related to bullying cases during the past 3years will be consulted to check the related trends.ProcedureThe participants will each be interviewed for information on the relationship betweensocial media and bullying. Open ended questions will be asked during the interview. Butthere will also be a small number of discussion questions related to social media trends,negative effects of social media and cyber bullying or bullying.
