1. Type a draft of the Objectives section of the lab report.
2. Type a draft of the summary of the Procedure forthe lab report. (After you revise your
procedure based on feedback, you will insert it into the Conclusions section of your final
report.)
• write in past tense and paragraph form (no numbered list)
• What is measured?
• How is the quantity/variable measured—number of measurements/trials and
equipment and methods used?
3. Type a draft of the practical example and include an appropriately formatted reference
citation and reference list.

4. Prepare the data sheet for Lab 4.
• Neatly organize data and prepare logically formatted data tables by using headings,
units, showing the number of trials/measurements, etc.
• The lab manual is useful for finding information to prepare the data sheet
5. Write out the calculations and conversions required for each part of Lab 4.
• Be sure to include how to convert from pressure head units (e.g. “ft of H20”, “ft of Hg”) to
regular pressure units (e.g. “psi, psf”)
• Show the value for the density of water in slugs/ft
